Overview
During her time as a contract graphic designer at Shambhala Publications, Honey designed print and digital collateral for books published and promoted under Shambhala Publications and its Bala Kids and Roost Books imprints.
She also designed and constructed sell pages and affiliated print and digital assets for Prajna Studios, the production company of Shambhala Publications that produces online courses for best selling mindfulness teachers. She was lead designer and acting art director on a course launch for the studio's highest-grossing online course, taught by Pema Chödrön.
Impact
In lieu of a staff art/creative director, Honey was given liberty as a trusted designer to evolve the Shambhala brand. Over time, she refined a dated and shape-based brand expression into a sophisticated, photography-forward look-and-feel that anchored the brand in both its Eastern Asian traditions and its current headquarters at the foot of the Rocky Mountains.
Honey's impact also included balancing the iterative design and review process of 10-20 projects per month as well as building out an asset management file architecture and a project management tracking tool that the company still uses today.
